Train tickets to Silverdale

Following an application for funding, Skipton Building Society Charitable Foundation has awarded the Leeds Children’s Charity the sum of £1205 to purchase train tickets from Leeds to Silverdale for 100 disadvantaged children.  Over 400 children will travel to Silverdale, near Morecambe, during the summer of 2012 and each ticket costs £12.05 for a return journey.

Off to Silverdale

The children really enjoy travelling on the  train because, for some, it is a wonderful new experience.  To see green fields, animals grazing, lambs in the spring is such an amazing sight for children who have never had the opportunity to leave the City.

If you would like to sponsor one train ticket to enable a disadvantaged child to enjoy a holiday by the sea, please contact info@leedschildrenscharity.org.uk, telephone 01132454281, or donate on our website www.leedschildrenscharity.org.uk.

Thank you for all your support.
