The charity would like to offer a massive thank you to Rob Staines who has undertaken the painstaking task of travelling 2012 miles during 2012 under his own steam – all in the aid of the Leeds Children’s Charity!
His challenge is to do 2012 miles in 2012 – through running, walking, cycling, rowing, swimming and cross training with at least 25% covered via running – a staggering 503 miles !
In total the challenge equates to travelling 5.5 miles a day on average, or an equivalent of 168 miles a month!
He is hoping to raise £500 for the charity – which would equate to sending at least three children on a week’s break at Silverdale. To help Rob achieve his target please sponsor our hero. – you can do so at t www.justgiving.com/RobStaines2012. You can do a lump sum sponsorship or per mile
For example –
1p a mile is £20.12
0.5p a mile is £10.06
0.25p a mile is £5.03
Good luck Rob and remember your pain will be the children of Leeds’ gain! We will hopefully keep you updated on Rob’s progress throughout the year!
