“Every mile brings a child closer to a magical stay at Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm.”
This Christmas, we’re inviting organisations, businesses, schools, clubs and community members across Leeds to take on a magical challenge – travel the 1,338 mile distance from Leeds to Lapland, the official home of Santa Claus!
The challenge will run throughout December so you can participate at your own pace. As a virtual event, you can cover the distance however you like: walking, running, cycling, swimming or even gym classes. Every mile your team completes adds up and makes an incredible impact!
By taking part, you’ll be raising vital funds to help more children enjoy a life-changing stay at our charity’s home, Lineham Farm – providing them with fun, adventure and magical memories that will last a lifetime.

Why take part?
Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm is dedicated to brightening children’s lives. For many of the families we support, Christmas as most of us know it is simply not possible, due to finances and other difficulties. Every child deserves to experience joy, and this time of year can be particularly hard on those families already struggling.
Funds raised from our Leeds to Lapland challenge will be dedicated to welcoming as many children as possible for a stay at Lineham Farm. For most, it’s their first time away from home or experience of a holiday, the first time riding a bike, or seeing farm animals up close. We believe in providing every child with the chance to experience fun and adventure in a safe and happy environment – childhood as it should be.
Please help us put a smile on a child’s face and hope in the heart of families across Leeds this festive season ✨
“My time at Lineham Farm was really fun and I will remember this forever.”
“Mum said she didn’t know such wonderful places existed and found herself looking at the nature and forgetting about the problems at home. She said it’s only 20 minutes’ drive but a life time away. She said she felt so calm and it felt really safe.”
“Lineham Farm is a place we can take our young people that gets them out of the one square mile of deprivation where they spend 90% of their lives; as one of our young people said, “…it’s a place where I can find peace of mind.”
