The Bike Fleet Maintenance Volunteer ensures that our bike fleet remains safe, reliable, and ready for weekly cycling sessions. This hands-on role involves cleaning, inspecting, and performing intermediate repairs on bikes to maintain high safety and performance standards for children, young people, and community groups. Volunteers will carry out tasks such as brake and gear adjustments, cable replacements, minor wheel truing, and general workshop upkeep, always adhering to health, safety, and safeguarding procedures.
This role is ideal for individuals with practical bike maintenance experience, a keen eye for safety, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively. It suits volunteers who are detail-oriented, dependable, and enthusiastic about supporting a positive and inclusive cycling environment.
