Our Partners

Partnerships are at the heart of Leeds Children’s Charity. We work closely with schools, social services, community organisations and corporate partners to reach children across Leeds who need our support most.

Together, we deliver residential breaks, outdoor learning experiences and early intervention support for children facing poverty, disadvantage and difficult circumstances.

Through these trusted relationships, children can access Lineham Farm safely and consistently, taking part in experiences that build confidence, wellbeing and a sense of belonging.

Our support also extends beyond residential stays, providing wellbeing packs, Easter gifts and Christmas presents to children and families across the city.

By working with us, partners help create brighter futures for children in Leeds — ensuring no child is left behind.

Working with Schools Across Leeds

At Leeds Children’s Charity, we work in partnership with schools across the city to ensure children facing disadvantage can access residential breaks and outdoor learning experiences at Lineham Farm.

Using Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD) data, we identify and prioritise target schools and partner schools located in the most disadvantaged communities in Leeds. These are schools serving children who are most likely to benefit from early intervention, respite and support.

Our partner schools programme ensures that children living in areas of highest deprivation have access to affordable, high-quality residential stays, with charity funding helping to reduce costs and remove barriers to participation.

Why this matters
By focusing on children in the most disadvantaged areas of Leeds, we provide targeted early intervention that helps break the cycle of poverty and gives children the chance to rest, grow and experience childhood as it should be.

Working in Partnership to Support Families

We work closely with specialist services and family support organisations to ensure our support for children is joined up, effective and long-lasting. We have strong partnerships with services including MST CAN (Multisystemic Therapy for Child Abuse and Neglect) and Family Action Leeds, who also work directly with many of our partner schools and families across the city.

By working together, we ensure our residential experiences and outdoor learning programmes are part of a wider, coordinated support plan — not delivered in isolation, but as part of a holistic approach to supporting children and families.

MST CAN is an intensive, evidence-based programme supporting young people aged 11–17 who are at risk of entering care or custody due to complex needs, behavioural challenges or family crisis. The programme focuses on:

  • • Keeping young people safely at home
  • • Supporting engagement in education
  • • Reducing risk and preventing escalation

Family Action provides practical, emotional and financial support to families experiencing poverty, disadvantage and social isolation, helping to strengthen family relationships and improve long-term wellbeing.

Through these partnerships, we continue to develop targeted programmes that:
  • •Support family stability and resilience
  • •Help prevent children entering care
  • •Provide early intervention for children at risk
  • •Strengthen outcomes for both children and their families

Together, we are helping to keep families together, reduce crisis, and create more stable futures for children across Leeds.

  • Community Groups

We value our relationships with community-based groups from Leeds, all of whom know their communities and the young people they support far better than we can ever hope to. In addition to our work with schools, we identify community-based organisations whose work sits at the heart of the most disadvantaged communities in the city.

As with our target and partner schools, working in this way makes sure that we are not only working with the right young people, but also that our work is not delivered in isolation, or seen as a one off.

    Business Partnerships

We work with over 2000 young people each year, and without the support of our community and local businesses we would not be able to provide the first-class service that we provide to young people each and every day.

Donations and funds raised by the charity go towards keeping the costs as low as possible for the Leeds schools who are most in need, as well as providing free holiday and weekend stays. Here are just a few of our amazing supporters, who help us to brighten children’s lives.
