How business can help

Supporting a charity doesn’t just help you meet your CSR goals, it also increases employee engagement and helps generate positive publicity for your company. The great thing about supporting a local charity, like Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm, is that your support directly benefits the community that you and your employees live and work in.

Why choose Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm?

Our work directly benefits the city that your employees live and work in

  • You can visit our centre and see the impact your support has
  • We will recognise your support publicly to help you build brand awareness
  • Our dedicated fundraising team will help you with your fundraising efforts
  • Supporting a local charity shows fantastic community spirit
  • The children we work with could be your future employees

And the good news is there are loads of ways you can show your support.

Make us your Charity of the Year

Nominating Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm as your company’s charity of the year is a brilliant way to get your whole team working together to improve the lives of disadvantaged children. You can run various events and fundraisers throughout the year – team challenges, bake-sales, quiz nights, dress-down days – the possibilities are endless. You can even set challenges to see which team or department can raise the most money. And if you think your company is too small for a charity of the year, think again. By raising just £180 over the year, you will pay for a neglected, abused or poverty- stricken child to have a whole week of respite and fun.

Organise an event

If you are unable to support us for a whole year, why not organise a one-off fundraising event or challenge. You could enter a team in the three-peak challenge, Leeds 10K or Abbey Dash, organise a charity ball, fashion show, auction or quiz night, or arrange a company raffle or bake-off.

Make a donation

Our centre is a high-quality learning facility that needs regular maintenance to keep it warm, clean and safe for our young visitors. Contributions toward the running costs of the charity and maintaining our facilities are always greatly appreciated. Alternatively, you can ask us about specific projects or initiatives we need funding for and donate the money towards that.

Encourage Payroll Giving

A simple and effective way of giving money each month is through Payroll Giving, which is quick and easy to set up through your HR or finance department. Why not encourage your staff to donate just £1 each month? If 15 team members sign-up, this will raise enough to fund a week-long respite break for a local child each year.

Hire our amazing facilities

While our wonderful centre is mostly used for respite breaks and school residential trips in the week, we do offer private hire at the weekends. Why not arrange a fun team-building weekend at Lineham Farm or make use of one of our lovely spaces for your leadership meetings? The money raised through venue hire goes back into the charity to help us continue our wonderful work.

Venue hire

Take part in one of our CSR days

If you’re looking for a team-building exercise with a difference, you can volunteer your whole team to participate in our regular fundraisers or help us with our ongoing maintenance programmes. They will have time to bond away from their desks and make a real difference to the lives of disadvantaged children.
