In the early months of 2021, Brown Shipley dedicated their fundraising efforts to support our annual Christmas Appeal and what an impact this had!

The team at Brown Shipley believed that no child should be left off Santa’s list purely due to circumstance or situation and over the last year they challenged themselves to running, walking and cycling the virtual miles to Lapland, to fetch Santa’s spare sack themselves.

  • 2083 miles from Leeds to Lapland
  • 16 team members
  • 6 weeks to complete the challenge
  • Averaging just over 13 marathons a week between the team
  • £1 per mile to raise

In total an incredible £7147 was donated to Leeds Children’s Charity and this enabled 100’s of quality gifts to be bought and donated to those children across Leeds who were in need the most.

What’s more, with some of the remaining money from their incredible fundraising efforts we have been able to purchase a set of brand-new bouldering mats for the centre which desperately needed replacing. We think they look great!

Climbing is one of the activities that many of the children participate in whilst at Lineham Farm, for most it is a first-time experience.

Phil Harris, Executive Director stated “It’s a real joy to see the lasting impact of our fundraising efforts for the local community”

We’d like to thank Brown Shipley, Leeds, for their very generous support and efforts and together, we’ll continue to Brighten Children’s Lives.💚
