The charity have been tirelessly working with our partners in the local authority to enable us to establish “COVID secure status” for the main building and for some aspects of delivery. However, we have to recognise, for now, that work can only be delivered to small groups (school or family bubbles) and that any delivery must, as much as it can, take place outside. We are lucky enough to have a generous amount of space to be able do this and have specifically invested in new outdoor spaces, where groups can cook on open fires and explore the natural environment.

Delivery during school holidays continue to take place, but it is restricted to very small groups of young people; family bubble groups; older care leavers and their contact workers; or overnight emergency accommodation for young people already in care.

The feedback, to date, from all of this work has been very positive.  We understand the stress that the current situation is placing upon local families, and during these very difficult times, where we can, we hope to continue providing this support for these very vulnerable young people and their families.
