Bringing families together for a magical day of music, movement and woodland adventure all while raising funds for Leeds Children’s Charity
Following the success of our first-ever Woodland Family Rave with Boomchikkaboom, we’re delighted to celebrate another fantastic family event at Lineham Farm in Leeds and it’s set to be another sell out!
Designed to bring children and grown-ups together for an unforgettable day out in nature, the Woodland Family Rave combined live guided dance routines, music, movement, games, bubbles and plenty of playful surprises in the beautiful woodland at Lineham Farm.
The event proved that family days out can be fun, active, imaginative and meaningful – while raising vital support for children across Leeds.
Turning the Woodland into a Dance Floor
For 90 minutes, our woodland was transformed into an energetic and immersive dance space as Boomchikkaboom brought their unique family rave experience to Lineham Farm.
Families were encouraged to dance, move and get involved together, with live guided dance routines designed for all ages. From toddlers and younger children to older kids and parents, everyone could join in at their own pace.
There was no need to be a brilliant dancer – the focus was simply on having fun, getting active and enjoying the experience together.
Bubbles, Games & Plenty of Family Fun
The dancing was only the beginning!
Families enjoyed a fun-filled programme packed with interactive games, bubbles, movement activities and playful surprises. The combination of music, outdoor adventure and imaginative play created an exciting atmosphere that kept children engaged while giving parents the chance to join in too.
The adventure continued beyond the dance floor, with families gathering around the campfire to toast delicious marshmallows – a simple but memorable experience for children to enjoy outdoors.
Set within the beautiful grounds of Lineham Farm, families could also take in the views, see farm animals and experience the special place that is home to Leeds Children’s Charity. Surrounded by woodland and countryside, the event offered a unique opportunity to explore, play and make memories in nature, right here in Leeds.
With the woodland providing a magical natural backdrop, the event offered something different from a traditional children’s activity or family day out.
A Family Event in the Heart of Leeds
At Leeds Children’s Charity, we know how important it is for children to have opportunities to play, explore, build confidence and create positive memories.
Our Woodland Family Rave brought these values to life by creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive space where families could spend quality time together outdoors.

A Sell-Out Success
The response from local families was fantastic, with tickets for our first Woodland Family Rave selling out.
The sell-out demonstrated the demand for exciting, accessible and family-friendly events in Leeds, while also showing how supporters can have fun and make a difference at the same time.
Most importantly, every ticket helped support the work of Leeds Children’s Charity, helping us provide opportunities for children across Leeds who may be experiencing poverty, disadvantage or difficult circumstances.
And We’re Doing It Again!
After such a brilliant response to our first Woodland Family Rave, we’re thrilled to bring Boomchikkaboom back to Lineham Farm for a second event.
Families can look forward to another 90 minutes of music, dancing, games, bubbles, outdoor fun and magical woodland moments.
