We’re delighted to announce that the refurbishment of our low ropes course at Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm is now complete, transforming the area into a safe, modern, and fully accessible space for children and young people to enjoy. This exciting improvement will enhance the experiences we can offer to the thousands of young people who visit us each year, giving them new opportunities to challenge themselves, build confidence, and grow together.

Thanks to the generous support of Yorkshire Charity Clay Days, the project has created an inclusive environment where every child can take part, regardless of ability. The new course replaces outdated equipment with a thoughtfully designed system that supports accessibility, encourages teamwork, and allows children to progress at their own pace — helping each young person feel proud of what they achieve.

The upgraded low ropes course will play a vital role in supporting children to develop new skills, overcome fears, and support one another through shared challenges. For many of the disadvantaged and vulnerable children we work with, these experiences are an important step in building resilience, trust, and self-belief, while also creating joyful and lasting memories.

At Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm, we are committed to improving the lives of children and young people facing disadvantage, hardship, or difficult circumstances at home. Investments like this ensure we can continue providing high-quality, inclusive environments that support children’s wellbeing and personal development for years to come.

We are incredibly grateful to Yorkshire Charity Clay Days for making this project possible. Their support has delivered far more than new equipment — it has opened the door to adventure, confidence, and meaningful growth for generations of children to come.

“The refurbished low ropes course has completely transformed what we can offer our children. Thanks to the generous support of Yorkshire Charity Clay Days, we now have a safe, inclusive space where every child can build confidence, develop new skills, and feel proud of what they achieve.” Lisa Williams – Head of Fundraising at Leeds Children’s Charity
