Supporter Spotlight: Leonard Curtis
We’re proud to shine a spotlight on Leonard Curtis, who have supported Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm through both volunteering and fundraising over the past few months.
Their Support So Far
In just a few short months, the team has already made a meaningful impact:
✅ Completed a volunteering session at Lineham Farm, helping to organise the thousands of donated toys as a part of our Christmas Gift Appeal.
❄️ Took part in our ‘Leeds to Lapland’ challenge, raising an incredible £1,000.
💙 Secured an additional £900 donation from the LC Foundation, bringing their total contribution to £1,900.
Their enthusiasm to both fundraise and give their time demonstrates a genuine commitment to supporting children across Leeds.
Why Our Work Resonates
Supporting children has particularly resonated with the Leonard Curtis team, especially as many members have young families themselves. Learning just how many children in Leeds need support was deeply moving and reinforced their desire to make a difference locally.
They believe businesses have an important role to play in supporting their communities — not only because of the impact it creates, but because it strengthens teams, boosts morale and provides a shared sense of purpose. Whether through fundraising or volunteering, seeing first-hand the difference your contribution makes is incredibly powerful.
A Word from Phil Deyes, Director
“Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm are an unbelievable charity doing brilliant work to help the children of Leeds. Their culture, ethos and desire to do the very best they can for some of the most disadvantaged young people of this City is truly inspiring.
They were an absolute pleasure to volunteer and fundraise for, finding time to engage with and tell us how our small contribution could make such a big difference. We can’t wait to work with them again and support this wonderful charity!” Phil Deyes – Director, Leonard Curtis
What We Do — And Why It Matters
Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm exists to support disadvantaged and vulnerable children from across our city (and beyond).
At Lineham Farm, our charity’s home, children experience adventure and play, often for the very first time. They connect with nature, with animals, and with each other building confidence and discovering new possibilities.
For many, home life can be chaotic or unsafe. Here, they find calm, home-cooked meals, warm beds, and the space to just breathe. It’s a place where childhood is restored. Where children return home and to school calmer, happier, more resilient, and better equipped to thrive.
Every year, thanks to our supporters, we help around 3,000 children from Leeds.
We’re not just changing days, we’re changing futures.
Your support unlocks those experiences, helping us reach more children and make Leeds a city where no child is left behind.
