When Lowell team member Vicky Denton took on the 18-mile Great Leeds Walk, she knew every mile would be helping create positive experiences for children across Leeds.
As a business based in the local community, Lowell wanted to support a charity that gives children opportunities and experiences they might not otherwise have. For Vicky and her team, taking part in the Great Leeds Walk was a chance to come together, challenge themselves and raise money for a cause close to home.
“Taking part in the Leeds Great Walk was a real challenge, but knowing we were helping children across Leeds made every mile worthwhile. It’s amazing to see how coming together as a team can make a positive difference.”
Taking on the challenge together
Vicky challenged herself to complete the 18-miles of the Great Leeds Walk, a demanding route that put her determination to the test.
While the walk was tough, the experience was incredibly rewarding. Taking on the challenge as a team gave Lowell colleagues the opportunity to spend time together outside of work while fundraising for Leeds Children’s Charity.
For Vicky, one of the biggest highlights was knowing that every step was contributing towards positive experiences and opportunities for children across Leeds.
“The experience brought our team together and made us proud to support such a worthwhile cause.”
Supporting Children across Leeds
At Leeds Children’s Charity, we believe every child deserves the chance to experience childhood, build confidence and create happy memories, regardless of their circumstances.
Through fundraising and corporate partnerships, businesses like Lowell help us provide opportunities for children who may otherwise miss out. From residential stays at Lineham Farm to outdoor activities and new experiences, support from our corporate community helps children discover what they can achieve.
Vicky hopes Lowell’s support will help children access activities and experiences that they may not otherwise have the opportunity to enjoy.
“Every child deserves positive experiences and happy memories.”
Thank you, Lowell
