Supporter Spotlight: Luminate Education Group
At Leeds Children’s Charity, we are proud to work alongside organisations that share our commitment to helping children across Leeds experience childhood as it should be.
This month, we’re delighted to shine our Supporter Spotlight on Luminate Education Group, whose fundraising, volunteering and community support are already helping to brighten the lives of local children and young people.
Although new supporter’s of the charity this year, the Luminate team have fully embraced the partnership — from fundraising initiatives to creating volunteering opportunities for students at our home, Lineham Farm.
Their partnership began with an ambitious challenge: taking on the Yorkshire Dales Three Peaks.
What started as a personal challenge among colleagues quickly grew into a large-scale fundraising event involving more than 20 members of the Luminate team. As an education group serving communities across Greater Leeds, they wanted to support a charity closely aligned with their values — championing young people, wellbeing, outdoor experiences and local impact.
After visiting Lineham Farm and seeing first-hand the opportunities available to children and young carers — from climbing and biking to animal care, hiking and outdoor adventure — the team knew they wanted to get involved.
On 24 April 2026, members of the Luminate team, alongside Leeds Children’s Charity staff Amy and Megan, completed the demanding Three Peaks Challenge in soaring temperatures. Through determination, teamwork and incredible support, the team not only completed the challenge but exceeded their fundraising target.
Originally aiming to raise £1,000, they proudly raised an incredible £1,265 to help support children across Leeds facing poverty, disadvantage and difficult circumstances.
Speaking about the partnership, Liam Johnson, Change & Transformation Manager at Luminate Education Group, said:
“We are absolutely thrilled to support Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm with the work that they do. They’ve been a brilliant and supportive partner and the work they do has wonderful value.
The challenge of the Three Peaks was significant to everyone that took part but seeing us surpass our fundraising target and knowing the money will directly benefit children across Leeds made it all worthwhile.
We’re excited to continue building our partnership with Leeds Children’s Charity and supporting future fundraising efforts.”

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Luminate Education Group for their energy, commitment and support. Their partnership is helping children across Leeds access safe, positive and life-enhancing experiences that build confidence, resilience and brighter futures.
