The whole team based at Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm has recently been recognised by the MST “Whatever it Takes” program.

We are delighted to announce the merger of Lineham Farm with Leeds Children's Charity which will create a much stronger offering to support the underprivileged children of Leeds.

Although Covid-19 has sadly meant we have had to stop delivery of our service, it has provided us with an opportunity to improve and upgrade our facilities at the farm.

The recent pandemic has, unsurprisingly, affected a wide cross section of our community. Read our article on what Covid-19 has meant to the charity and how we are adapting to the situation.

As we enter the festive season, it is important to reflect on our achievements and also consider those less fortunate. Every year we ask for your help in giving a child a gift at Christmas – and we need that help more than ever!

Lineham Farm today welcomed the Yorkshire Children of Courage roadshow, which started its yearly tour on 20th June. 

Christmas came early for a group of local children when they were given a special sky-high invitation to meet none other than Father Christmas himself.

It is with great regret that I have to announce the death of Honorary Alderman, Grenville Fletcher.

The charity has recently confirmed that 2016 will mark the final season of delivery at the centre and that during the year the Trustees will be looking at how best they can secure the future of the work that it delivers with young people.

Local company Inline Healthy and Beauty have kindly donated a supply of Aloha sun lotion, ensuring the children staying at Silverdale centre will be protected throughout the summer, meaning they can play outdoors without worry of burning in the sun.

Leeds Children’s Charity has launched an appeal for people to donate toothbrushes after it revealed that over 90 per cent of children that come to stay at its Silverdale residential centre on the Lancashire coast come without one.
